Francesco Dolfo – Fuoriserie

Museo Civico d'Arte di Palazzo Ricchieri, Pordenone | 7 November – 27 December 2026

Among the events opening the programme of Pordenone Italian Capital of Culture 2027, the Museo Civico d'Arte di Palazzo Ricchieri presents Fuoriserie, the first solo museum exhibition by Francesco Dolfo, the internationally acclaimed Italian photographer known for his poetic, evocative eye. The show is curated by Marco Minuz.

Over the course of his career, Dolfo has gained access to extraordinary places rarely open to the public: private residences, historic homes, ateliers and exceptional architecture. The title borrows the Italian term for a custom-built car, one designed to stand apart from mass production. In the same way, the interiors on show are one-of-a-kind spaces, shaped by the vision of the people who conceived and lived in them.

The exhibition sets up a dialogue between contemporary interiors and the rooms of Palazzo Ricchieri, a medieval tower house later transformed into a noble residence and home to the city's art museum since 1970. Light, materials, volumes and architectural details echo one another, revealing a shared approach to living as a cultural, aesthetic and deeply human expression.

"Francesco Dolfo's work is like a breeze entering a room through an open window. It leaves everything unchanged, yet you can feel its presence," says curator Marco Minuz.

Born in Pordenone and trained at IED Milan, Dolfo specialises in interior photography and works for magazines, architecture studios, designers and hospitality brands across Europe, the US and Asia. He is based in Milan.

The exhibition is supported by Palazzo Bentivoglio, Tomasella and Valcucine, with technical partners Faliero Sarti and L'Impronta Viaggi.
